About The Event
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Join us for the second Relational Rhythms Circle, where we blend the magic of community drumming with relational and contemplative practices through dyads, authentic conversation, and somatic experiences. Taj and Carmen will guide the journey, drawing on their backgrounds in counselling, somatic practices, yoga, breathwork, and hand drumming (read on to learn more about each facilitator).
Together, we'll co-create a space that supports authentic connection, self-expression, and playfulness. This workshop is designed to deepen your relationship with yourself and others through rhythm, movement, and shared experience.
No musical experience needed
All drums provided (option to bring your own)
🧡 Designed for adults (19+)

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Hand Drumming: Participants will be guided through an interactive rhythmic journey using Djembes (West African hand drums) and other percussion instruments.
Dyads: Engaging conversational activities done in pairs focused on authentic relating and self reflection.
Sound Immersion (new): We will be adding a relaxing sound bath experience featuring the drums and special tones to support integration.
This is an inclusive and accessible space welcoming all abilities. Modifications will be offered so everyone can participate.
“The focus is not performance or perfection, but connection, expression, and shared experience through rhythm.”
WHY ATTEND?
This workshop is for those who are seeking authentic connection, playfulness, and personal growth. Through rhythm and conversation, participants are invited to connect more deeply with themselves and others.

ABOUT THE DRUMMING:
Drumming has been used across cultures and centuries as a tool for healing, connection, and celebration. In this session, the Djembe (African hand drum) becomes a bridge, connecting us to our breath, to the earth beneath us, and to each other.
Through guided rhythm, improvisation, and shared pulse, you'll experience drumming not just as music, but as medicine. No experience is required, Taj's facilitation style is intuitive, inclusive, and heart-led. Whether you’re new to drumming or have been playing for years, you’ll find a welcoming rhythm to join.
