WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Drum with Lyle who will facilitate a dynamic, therapeutic drumming session—inviting you to move, express, and connect with the primal beat of life and the heartbeat of the group.

  • Ground with Carmen who will lead a reflective, CBT-informed practice to support inner clarity and the release of patterns no longer serving us.

  • Breathe with Ali who will guide a revitalizing movement flow with gentle breath practices designed to awaken the body and attune us to the warmth and vitality of summer.

WHAT IS THE SUMMER SOLSTICE?

The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year—when the sun is at its highest and brightest. It marks a peak of energy, light, and growth in the natural world. Traditionally celebrated as a time of abundance, clarity, and transformation, the solstice invites us to:

  • Reflect on what’s flourishing in our lives.

  • Release what no longer serves us.

  • Reconnect with nature and community.

  • Celebrate the fullness of life and light.

ABOUT THE DRUMMING

Drumming has been used across cultures and centuries as a tool for healing, connection, and celebration. In this session, the Djembe (African hand drum) becomes a bridge—connecting us to our breath, to the earth beneath us, and to each other. Through guided rhythm, improvisation, and shared pulse, you'll experience drumming not just as music, but as medicine. No experience is required—Lyle’s facilitation style is intuitive, inclusive, and heart-led. Whether you’re new to drumming or have been playing for years, you’ll find a welcoming rhythm to join.
